Carrie Ryan was at one of the ALA publisher parties and although I don't have an ARC from Ryan to review, I still wanted to give her a little love on the blog. I've read the first in her series The Forest of Hands and Teeth, and although I am not a zombie girl I liked it. I found the main character Mary extremely frustrating at times, so much so that I wanted to jump into the book and have a pep talk with her, and I saw that as great writing by Ryan.
